Slide It 2
Game Design
Overview
Seventeen years after shipping the original, I'm rebuilding Slide It from the ground up—not as a port, but as a complete reimagining that reflects everything I've learned about design, architecture, and craft since 2008.
The core puzzle mechanic that made the original compelling is preserved and expanded: the same satisfying tile-sliding, color-matching gameplay, now with deeper progression systems, richer visual feedback, and mechanics that reward mastery. Every screen, animation, and interaction has been redesigned with the standards I apply to enterprise software: consistency, accessibility, and attention to edge cases.
This project represents a personal benchmark—a direct comparison of my capabilities across nearly two decades. Same problem space, same designer, dramatically evolved execution.
